Do I have to arrange to come along or can I just turn up?

You are welcome to just turn up to see what we are doing and join in if you are brave enough! You can also arrange to come along for a visit. The choice is yours!

I have never done Judo before - is there a charge for the first session?

Your first session is FREE! If you choose to continue, you will need to take out a Provisional Licence with the BJC - this can be done via their website or via your Instructor.

I don't have a Judo Suit - what should I wear?

A long sleeved top and trousers, ideally without zips or hard objects on them is ideal - tracksuit top and joggers are perfect. Wear something that you don't mind being pulled around a bit.

Where can I get a judo suit from?

You can buy suits directly from the Club (or eBay).

If you buy through the Club you will help the Club with fundraising.

Which organisation does White Horse Judo Club belong to?

We belong to the British Judo Council (BJC) meaning our members can enter competitions and attend courses, gradings and events run by the BJC, BJA and AJA.

I belong to a different judo organisation: can I come and train at your Club?

The simple answer is YES: everybody is welcome to train at White Horse Judo Club.
Just bring your licence along with you so we can check that you are properly insured.
